You don't make a pact with an element, we are all the elements and work with them to find balance, not a life spell [whatever that is, I assume it's an immortality spell which also doesn't work]
I don't just criticize spells, I comment on working spells too and give advice as to how they can work [as I did in my first comment] There's no rule against commenting on spells. I was going through the spell section and this one came up, that's all.
Nekoshema is right he points out problems in spells because hes just being logical just because magic exists doesnt mean you can throw the laws of physics out the door
I would like to say that you cannot make a pact with the elements, only the deities of said elements. And since you cannot put air into a bowl, I would say that this spell doesn't work.
Also... While I do agree that the spell isnt functional in any way, I also wouldnt call it fake it sounds too negative and it completely demotivates beginners. You wouldnt like it if someone seemed to look down on good effort you try put in? (even if it wasnt meant that way)
''Fake'' isn't positive or negative. It just means it's not real. If someone came to a site looking for actual spells for their craft and one doesn't work because it was fictitious, it wouldn't be ''negative'' to call it fake. It would be direct. I'll agree that being told something's fake could be hurtful, but I think it would be more hurtful to try a fake [fictitious, flawed, not working, whatever you want to call it] spell over and over and over without seeing any results. This will more likely result in people not trying other spells and concluding it's all fake. Also, while sugar-coating things can be helpful [a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down] constantly sugar-coating everything shields people from pain and can be worse in the long run. Anyway, as for your original comment, you can work with elementals and connect with the elements. Yes, you can make a pact with a deity, but you could also with an elemental. And air is technically in the bowl, but you could use incense or feathers to represent the element.
