There is a level of truth to this, if it is on your mind a lot there is a chance you will dream about it. For lucid dreaming try practicing dream recall (journaling your dreams help a lot with this), and also practice trying to put your finger through your palm throughout the day. You will find yourself doing that in your dream. To astral project from a lucid dream fly straight up and through the membrane, or fall backwards (!you may enter sleep paralysis but don’t panic, if this happens move your feet and fingers until you can wake up or just close your eyes and wait it out!). To astral project normally use this equation: mind = 0 & gaze = infinity. Basically zone out and focus only on your breathing and your solar plexus where your astral body will rotate on an axis if not disconnected from the body.
