This works! I just tried it myself! I literally felt the ball in between my hands! You can't see it but you can feel something that keeps your hands from touching!
You are doing it right. Gently rubbing your hands together wakes up the energy. At first, the heat is the result of the friction. You could feel the energy in your arms and hands, but you have not practiced enough to focus the energy into a stronger ball. The energy will still collapse when you shut your hands, so do not expect it to feel like holding a physical object. You should feel a push like two positivity magnets pushing against each other. Keep practicing a few time a day. Not for too long, but just enough to get the feel for it. If after a month you still feel no improvement, it could mean the energy in your space is stagnant, you need to do more energy work such as grounding or chakra balancing. It could possibly mean you need to meditate to improve your ability to stay in the present. From what you have posted, you are on the right track. Rest for now. Take a walk. Have some tea. Try again either this evening or tomorrow. This is the same as going to the gym for the first time.
It depends on how much you practice, but if you practice daily, you should manage to create one by the end of the week at the latest. How strong the psi balls is depends on the witch. Some might be more skilled with energy work than others.
Magik is an energy. Some feel heat, tingles, shocks, pulsing, and a slight pressing against their palms as if you are forcing two positively charged magnets together. Intense burning is probably because you charged too much energy and should work on control. If you charge too much or too little Magik, this can cause problems. If you are charging Magik for a spell, too much could cause extreme results similar to what some would call backfire. For example, too much energy in a love spell could result in a stalker. Too much energy in a money spell could result in being overworked and lead to burnout.
Like with so many other things in life, some people get results more easily than others. Most people do develop some sort of result with repetition/practice though.
A couple of tips;
Relax, and breathe. Don't fret about making something happen. The more you try to force it, the more tense you will get and the less you will gain. Be still, be relaxed, and focus on the idea of warmth moving down your arms and filling the space between your hands.
Breathe; When you begin a session of practice, take a nice full breath. All the way in, then relax and let the air just fall OTE of your chest. You don't need to huff in and out, nor do you need to force yourself to breathe excessively slowly. Just take a minute or two to be mentally conscious of your breathing. It is a simple way to begin ficus and relaxation. Plus, as you begin imagining moving energy you can use the timing of your breath to help. Breathe in while imagining energy gathering at your solar plexus. Breathe out while imagining that energy moving to your shoulders and down your arms. Breathe in again, imagine gathering that energy in your hands. Breathe out, radiate that energy into the space between your hands. Breathe in, move your hands slightly closer together-as if pressing the ball between your hands a little tighter- Like packing/smoothing a snowball. Breathe out, move your hands very slowly apart for a couple of inches, imagine more energy moving from your solar plexus and to your hands to radiate out and fill the space. Repeat as many times as you'd like.
Pay attention; As you practice, work on being consciously aware of the responses and sensations of your body. If you feel tension, explore where it is. When it arrives. When(if) it fades. Examine where your thoughts were as it appeared. Is it coming from an emotion? Memories popping up? Just an uncomfortable body position/chair? If it is the latter, feel free to pause and shift or otherwise make a change you need to before continuing. Likewise, also make a mental observation of other sensations. Warmth? Tingling? A swelling sensation? A feeling of resistance or a pulling/pushing while you move?
This is a process. Not a light switch. Try something, explore what happens. Use that to try something slightly different. Let your experiences teach you. Different people experience energy in different ways. The trick comes in using the practice to teach yourself how your energy speaks to you.
