Part of me wants to simply say ''Google it'' since it is a pretty basic term, but my other half feels it is so common, most assume newbie's know it. ''The Basics'' as they are known, are the bare minimum things you need to do Magik. Different paths have different lists, but the main talking points are energy work. Meditation, terminology, tools, visualization, they are all well and good, but the key to spells is Magik and Magik is energy. You need to know how to charge, ground, shield and shape energy in order to cast a spell. Grounding: best done by walking barefoot on the grass, but can be done anywhere. While you can do this sitting or lying down, begin by having your feet firmly planted on the ground or floor. As you improve, you can change the stance. Imagine or feel negative, muddy energy. Starting at the top of your head, imagine and feel this heavy energy traveling down. Down through your body, into your feet, then through roots that go from your feet, down to the ground, and takes the energy away with it to be purified and return to its neutral state.

That should be step one in your daily energy exercise, next charge, then shield your energy. Google ''energy work tree method for grounding/charging'' you should find the most common method that way. When you want to cast an invisibility spell, you are lowering your energetic vibration so people do not notice you. That is why you should ground energy instead of charge it.
