This is my first time posting in a forum and a Magick forum at that. I am still learning and just began really taking the big steps into all of this about a month ago. Any starter book suggestions are appreciated!

Now, I live in Alaska. I have found a lot of rituals that I have come across rely on the moon and its many phases. Here in Alaska, we don't exactly have direct moonlight in the summer, as the sun never goes down until around September or so. and then it's dark most of the time. Are there rituals that involve energies from the sun? Will the moonlight still have an effect on any rituals I do during the summer?
