Keeping something close - bury it in your backyard
Attract something - bury it under your front doorstep
Destroy influence -burn it
Move away and sink - throw it in running water
Disperse it to a distance - throw it into a crossroad
Fix its influence - inter it in a five spot pattern
Work it by means of spirits - bury it in a graveyard
Hide place of origin - conceal it in a tree
Work in secret - give it in food or drink
Work by stealth - hide in clothing
Influence to begin - throw it east
Influence to end - throw it west
