How do you make a wand?

One way...find a thin, strong stick of either cedar, pine, applewood, willow, cyprus, or from any tree that has traditional magical properties...about the length of your arm from the elbow to the end of your middle finger. At the end, attach a crystal - quartz, amythest, any kind, depending on what you want to focus on. Don't forget to bless and purify the wand before using it.

You may also want to strip the bark and treat it with linseed oil (or other wood finish) so it keeps longer, before that carve or burn with a wood burner relevant magical symbols onto it (but not too much, as I've read somewhere "you want to personalize the wand, not confuse it.")
