Magick Artwork

I have been wondering this for a while, but does anyone out there use 2D artwork (aka on paper, canvas, or something similar) to energize their home/altar? My mother and I have soul petroglyphs (I think I spelled that right) hanging in our rooms of ourselves, and I feel that the artwork in a tarot deck really changes how the energies work. Are there any other ways people energize their work space with visual art? I would like to get ideas as I am trying to find a way to incorporate my artistic abilities into my craft.
