I've noticed that candle magick seems one of the most popular forms. If a spell calls for something such as "passing an object through the flame", is there a substitute not involving fire I can use?
If the item is flammable just pass it over the flame instead of through it. And have a glass of water close by in case, despite your efforts to prevent, the item catches on fire.
Hope I helped.
You could substitute it for some thing else. But it's best to understand the significance of passing the item through the flame to get a better response as to what substitution to use. What is the purpose of passing it through the flame for the spell?
