Besom.

Recently my besom has caught fire, I'm very clumsy but luckily I was outside. Now I don't have a problem with purchasing a new one, I was hoping to make one. I was wondering if anyone had any methods they liked to use or anything special they do? The besom that caught fire was purchased but I added a few personal touches. Thank you.

Oh my it caught fire! I'm very clumsy as well. I purchased the Yucca Cactus Handled Teen Besom from the shop on this website and wood burned my name in theban script.I just added a few quartz crystals and things like that.

Glad you weren't hurt. Besoms are not tricky things. You need a handle. If frequently used as a magical tool, then I recommend that the besom handle be made out of the same wood as your wand though its far from necessary. So we have a 3 foot handle. Then the bushy part. I know what I'm going to recommend is extremely hard but you might get lucky. as for the brush i dont think it matters. then just glue and/or lash(tie) the brush to the handle.
