nazar boncuk Cleansing

One of my friend just visited Turkey and got me a nazar boncuk (Evil eye amulet) as a gift.

Mostly likely its from the street, no body knows if it is just recently made or once owned by somebody.

Is there a procedure to cleansing it before using?

(Note: the process doesn't have to be Wiccan it can be anything as long as cleansing can be done)

There are many ways to cleanse your amulets , crystals and your tools.

Several ways include smudging with sage or a talisman , use of incense smoke , leaving it in moonlight or sunlight or even leaving it in a mixture of sea-salt and water

You can smudge it with white sage or with dragon blood incense .If it is only glass bead without metal case you can cleanse it in salty water ,but if it is in metal casing the salt may damage it .Also you can run it under running water and visualize all the bad energy or foreign one being washed away .Or even you can use sound and breath to cleanse it . Use same techniques as you would do to cleanse crystals .
