Spirits?

All of my life, I have always felt like something was behind me, watching me. It's like it comforts me when I'm sad, but doesn't affect any decisions that I make. It grows stronger for a time after someone dies, but then goes back to being normal. I only feel it when I'm alone, and it happens especially at night. But whenever I am alone I feel it. Is it a spirit?

maybe, could be a shadowman though. they feed off negative emotions like depression. my one friends father has one attached to him, it's so bad we can't get it off him due to his deep depression. you could try talking with it, but you'll probably have to cleanse and protect yourself and your home.
