Gemstones are influential. Some, from my experience, are way to much. Again, they are influential. For instance, obsidian will bring too many things to the surface, but that is just my opinion. Amethyst can allow me to walk through a hospital without an anxiety attack. Amethyst is soothing. Clear quartz just seems to make everything clear. Some stones you just have to spend time with. I think smokey quartz is an absolutely must have, with my experience it simply dissipates your frustration.
There is actually a lot to know about gemstones, let alone crystals in itself. I can't remember why I like blue appetite so much. Oh that's right, something about drive. It and hematite had a similar influence for me. Some stones are really great at letting you get in touch with your higher self, which is really like putting a good head on your shoulders.
In my opinion, there is lots of reading, meditation and your own conclusions to do and make. I collect stones. Blue topaz is one of my favorites. I can't put a single favorite on my mind.
To make this sweet and short, I've seen a high priest have what seemed to be a mookaite stone on his altar. I believe mookaite usually comes from Australia. Correct me if I am wrong please. Another awesome stone. Mookaite always seemed to influence adventures and short travels for me, and it is kind of my go to wiseman's stone.
You spend enough time with stones, you'll drive yourself mind boggling mad and start to feel sensations from some stones.
Simply go get your first stone if you haven't gotten one yet, and spend time with it. I mean in your daily tasks. Hold it at times. Put it in your pocket. Do this for a week, then look up the properties.
A shaman friend used to teach me things through a personal stone of hers. Things she needed to teach me. Enlightenment. Well, first learn to meditate. If there is anything to magick learn to meditate. You'll know when your meditating when you got it down.
How much should one meditate? I don't know. I don't really know, that's for others to find out for themselves. I would say it is equivalent to hours of one's sports practice. Or in some cases, how ever long you'll play a video game.
Actual crystals are simply great at directing energy. Some are great for blood circulation if you believe in it. I know I would with any quartz for their electromagnetic wave absorbing effects. Electromagnetic waves from electronics are speculated not to be good for your body, because some scientists from Austria have discovered or hypothesized that these waves electronics emit simply stress your body out, or can. In a nut shell, the idea is that your blood cells tend to clump together because your strand of DNA, which is in every red blood cell, acts as an antenna. I don't understand everything, but if this were true, to be fact, or highly recognized in the scientific community, then you got researchers saying cellphone usage may cause you to have a brain tumor.
Interesting how that little speal came out. My dad thought I was crazy when I was talking about electromagnetic waves not being good for your health, then sixth months later he hears it on the radio to be speculated.
If you go out for a walk some day, and find a rock that catches your eye and it has to be somewhat big, and place it somewhere in the main living room, and with the intent in mind: you're house will feel and be more stable.
My advice to you, is that there is no try in magick. Just do it.
