I have a blue lace agate and it has like rust on it brown yellowish. I've tried to wash it. Does this mean it's not real or something? I'm not as familiar with crystals.
It may simply mean that there are bits of the matrix rock from which the blue lace agate was cut that are still part of the stone. This is a very common occurrence and would be the first thing I'd think of in this case.
