I am guessing that you are referring to the pentacle, the pentagram enclosed within a circle. The points in the star represent the classical elements: Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. The fifth point of the Pentacle is seen as self or spirit. It is one of the oldest symbols, dating back 3500 B.C. Ancient Mesopotamia. I imagine that the meaning in Wicca varies tradition to tradition, but in conclusion when within a circle it represents wholeness and the divine. Many will believe that the Pentacle can represent good or evil, when in reality it is a symbol of faith and represents neither.

In Wicca the pentacle, or five-pointed star within a circle represents the five Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, all held within the circle of Creation.
