Heather?

Hey guys I'm sorry if this thread is under the wrong category but anyways.. i purchased some Heather incense sticks today.. was wondering if there is any specific purpose i could use it for on its own without a whole load of tools. i know the basic purposes of it because i've touched on it in my studies, but its hard to find many simple rituals or blessing like practices using just it without a whole lot of other supplies.
Suggestions?

One thing to be cautious of when using incense is whether the incense is made with actual heather or simply a "heather" perfume that is artificially created. The latter will not carry the magical properties of real heather as it is simply chemically created.
