Human Familiar?

Is it possible for a human to be a familiar?

Familiars are meant to be spiritual and magical helpers, so by technicality, yes. However, it is not really traditional or conventional.

I mean I know this may sound weird but...

My fiance and I have this deep, kinda creepy emphatic connection.

Like the creepy telepathic twins who finish each others sentences, we get the same mental images when imaging things. When I have a bad day he already knows before I even got home. He is overly submissive to my will and acts...A LOT like a dog.

Maybe your partner is just sensitive. Just because you're close to someone (human or animal) and share a bond doesn't mean that bond is that between a practitioner and a familiar.

Aye, it could just be that you're in tune with one another. You may wish to look up energy linking between people.

rather technically possible... instead the human are instead called guides or Mentors.. cant really phantom the possibility of a fammiliar being Human

Old time witches never really did have "familiars". It was a "trick" of the early Catholic Church. "She must be a witch! She has a cat!". Or a toad, or an owl. Any old woman in the village who had a pet must be a witch! She has a "familiar", and she can change into it at will. It was all nonsense, but many believed it. Many still do!

so a 'familiar' is really just a pet? :)

A familiar is a spirit, usually non corporeal and often an animal, but can take various forms. I would suggest in high magic they are called elementals. The other type is a being created by the witch.

Pets are pets, and the two are often confused. Whether or not the familiar can be a spirit of an alive animal is up for debate, my side of the debate is no, but I don't claim authority.
