I simple way would be to engrave it with a ward, like the Eye of Horus, or an ox, or something like that. It doesn't have to involve a fancy ritual or anything. Just cleanse the metal used so not to trap something evil that may already exist in it. Smoke or water usually does the trick.

What you are describing is an amulet not a talisman.
If you already have a bracelet or are making one it has to be consecrated in a magic ritual in order to work
