Incense/Oils

So I write my own spells/rituals if I understand the purpose and useage of herbs and oils then the same applies to making my own ritual oils and incenses right? My mixture my intent works for me better. Am I thinking correctly or just being arrogant?

You are thinking correctly. But others can help also! When I was very ill, two years ago, I was sent some Healing Oil, to be placed in a locket,by some of the Moderators on this site. It certainly helped, in calming me and giving me the confidence to fight the illness. It was an oil I didn't know about!

I prefer to make all my own tools and materials because I find other people's energies disruptive during ritual regardless of their intent. This however is not a problem for everyone., so I suggest you try it both ways and see which works better for you.
