Dowsing rod

My old dowsing rod has broken. It was a flimsy one I made out of driftwood during a trip to California. I need to make a stronger one, but I live in the desert, therefore cutting off my wood supply quite so. Does anyone know of a place to order dowsing rods, or should I wait until a trip I have planned to a more wooded area. Also, any suggestion to the type of wood would be extremely helpful.

You could buy a wooden dowel from an art supply store

I didn't even think of that, I was to concerned with making one. Thank you for your suggestion.

I have worked dowsing all my life, and have always used two metal rods. They are very easy to make.
