Herbal lotion mix residue

Hello onlookers!
So, I've been vigorously experimenting with herbs and how to use them.

I've gotten some pretty good recipes, and I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of an oil residue forming in your mixtures?

This is what I used.

-Aveeno non scented lotion
-coconut oil
-basil
-aloe
-sage
-pine

All in equal parts, makes a greyish colored protection lotion.
...That's what I was going for.

A green oil formed inside of it.

I used it on a burn, and it worked extremely well in soothing it, and it feels better after use as well.

My other lotion mixes didn't do this, and I'm wondering if the coconut oil did it, mixed with the lotion...

Any ideas?

The aloe probably helped with it a lot. Aloe is often used for treating burns. :)

That's also good to know. :)

I don't know why an oil formed though.

That probably happened because some of the substances could not mix and had different densities. Like oil on water.

Oh! Thanks! That's really good to know.

So I guess the oil was a good thing, but if I want an even mixture, I'll have to make sure the materials mix.

Awesome! Thank you so much. :)
