Fills you with something? Good or bad?
People wear various things, I wear a Dragon pentacle necklace, my friend wears a tree of life, another a wolf totem, and another a faerie holding a purple gem. There's many symbols to choose from.
I don't find it essential to have jewelry, statues or other symbols but if you're drawn to it, why not? These items are just a physical interpretation of the divine being so a god statue could easily be replaced by a picture or candle if you don't have a statue.
