Create Own Spell

Hi. I am new here and I heard that create your own spell is better. What should I do before I can create my own spell? Thanks.

I've added a few thinks below, one of them is a lovely one by Lark on how to write a spell. That being said, I'd suggest looking over the basics (grounding, centering,visualization, basic energy work, etc.) before you try to cast. The basic can help you get a good understanding of the groundwork needed for successful spell casting. There is also a link on the basics below, as well as some other things you need to know when Starting out.

Creating your own spell is better because it's stronger than utilizing someone else's. When you create your own spell, for starters you're using the most powerful thing you have, you're energy and beliefs. It works because it's an extension of your self in the way magick, no matter what the path or Craft you follow, works strongest. Also because it's your spell, you can tailor it to your strengths.Some people are amazing at divination, others not so much; some are great meditators, others not so much- you can utilize you're specialty for stronger effect.

Start out with the basics:
-visualization
-chakras
-meditation
-grounding
-centering

Then there are good forums and articles on here that give advice. Good luck.
