tell me what to do

I need a judgment justice spell. A very important person I hold near and dear was sentenced to 35 years in prison. He filed an appeal was told by the judge " I do see every mistake in your case I do see your sentencing to be unfair but your victim statement which is statement he made saying he would not have taking the plea agreement had you known you would have gotten the maximum sentence wasn't strong enough" I need to help him even the judge says I see many many mistakes in your case something has to happen hes not even thirty-five yet he's doing 35 years he never hurt anybody or did anybody wrong he made a bad choice but nothing worth losing the rest of his life over please tell me there's something I can do to help at least reduces time.
