Yog Sothoth's healing

How many of you work with lovecraftian gods and spirits ? I ask because I've recently divined a new healing ritual that's worked well for me and I was looking for a second opinion.
The ritual requires some knowledge of Azathoth's pantheon, hence why I was looking for someone else on this path.

I think you are going to have problems finding many people that work with the Lovecraftian entities.

You are aware that H.P.Lovecraft is a fiction writer, right?

Yog Sothoth is a fictonal character...

"Yog-Sothoth is a cosmic entity in the fictional Cthulhu Mythos and Dream Cycle of American horror writer H. P. Lovecraft. Yog-Sothoth's name was first mentioned in Lovecraft's novella, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward."

The entities and gods in the pantheon are certainly real. The whole fiction thing is a common misconception, I'd encourage people to try things before dismissing them.

I think it should be understood that Yog Sothoth was born out of fiction, or rather, the fiction created by Lovecraft which was derived from his dreams. He was a vivid dreamer and there is a valid argument that he was liasing with forces beyond his comprehension. Whether you believe this is up to you.

Lovecraft gained popularity within occult circles largely due to the works of Kenneth Grant. The argument here is that these beings and their names are simply other faces or expressions of the same primal forces which humanity have called gods for millenia.

There is another argument that all Gods were fictional to begin with, all of them stories to personfiy occult forces. Belief, desire, and worship brings them to life. Much like the magical practice of creating egregores.

I don't work with the Lovecraftian pantheon personally, however, I would do research befor either accepting the practice as valid or dismissing it as fictional and fake.
