Weird Occurence at Garden

So, here's what. I have a marjoram plant in my garden, and lately something...unexplainable is going on with it.
I have...well, neglected my garden fo three weeks. Yeah, I know, that's irresponsible of me, and I feel bad for it. The thing is, the marjoram has not wilted whatsoever. Not only it didn't completely wither off and die, but it has even grown quite a bit! But it doesn't have to do with this plant only. My other plants have managed to somehow endure the neglecting as well (but the marjoram has remained in the best state compared to them).
Let me also tell you that during the past 3 weeks it was blazing hot at my place.
...could this be some short of supernatural influence?

It's not likely. You say they're in a garden, and not potted. The soil may be retaining enough moisture, could be gathering enough from morning dew and rain, to keep the plants alive. If human interaction were necessary for plants to live, this world would be a barren wasteland.

...ugh. Forgive me, I am such a moron.
When I said garden...I didn't specifically mean a space with soil or dirt where I plant my plants in. When I said garden, I just meant a spot on my backyard where I have assembled all my flowers and herbs. Well, that means I actually do use pots.
Sorry for the wrong usage of words, I am just a little sleepy XD
