Okay, so I've been poking around this page for the majority of the day, (it's currently 12:43 am on April 27) and have seen a lot of spells that seem...too easy, as in easy enough that a completely uneducated person could do them, and a couple that are obviously not legitimate such as the "turn into a Pokémon" one. I have a legitimate concern that about 9/10 people who contribute to this site's spells know absolutely nothing about magick or, like the turning into a Pokémon one, are just trying to troll people and I feel that spells that seem like trolling attempts should be removed from this site. I honestly wished, as a huge Pokémon fan, that the turn into a Pokémon one wasn't fake, but I see huge flaws in the wording. If you were to ask Arceus, the GOD of the Pokémon world, to turn you into a certain one, you would be in no position to demand anything from him, especially what Ability and moves you'd have. It's like the hardcore Christians say: everything is God's will. Same thing. Everything that happens when dealing with Pokémon is Arceus' will. See where I'm going with that? So yeah, rant over.
I'm just going to disregard the whole Pokemon segue and address what you said somewhat in passing. "...as in easy enough that a completely uneducated person could do them." I think this claim should be refuted. Maybe in theory they're so simple, but in practice even if you've done everything correctly, without proper energy control the spell would be as useful as blowing really hard to try and change the direction the wind is blowing. Without knowledge of the basics, even the most rudimental of spells are ineffective at best.
As for the generally condescending tone taken towards the spells being "too easy" you seem to have overlooked an explanation that is equally simple: Everyone starts somewhere. These beginner spells are for beginning practitioners. After a certain point, people move on to making their own spells. Some even start out this way after mastery of the basics. So what would be the point in there being "more advanced" spellwork on here? For whose sake? Keep in mind also that spells are contributed by users on here. Most often those users are from the Spell Casters coven where anyone and their grandmother can join and immediately post spells. So if you would like, for whatever reason, to post what you consider to be more advanced spells, by all means, join the Spell Casters coven and post them.
