my mother's soul?

so my mother says that sometimes when she sleeps she can see a totaly white man about 10 feet tall rise from her body ,she says he'd scare off spirits and help her get rid of them in her sleep ,he once kneeled to people (all white) like they were royalty ,I am not sure if it's her soul so I'm asking here ,tell me if you know what it is.

What you described seems to be a entity or spirit that dwells with in your mothers body and protects her from demons at night.

Such spirits are called familiars or guardian angels how ever you chose to interpret them as. Since the spirit took the form of a entity and didn't show its true form I don't know for sure. I hope this helps.
