Crystal Question :)

Question. When you use a crystal do you take on some of it qualities?

Like I want to use onyx, but its associated with mars so does that mean I will absorb some of mars qualities

I don't want to sound aggressive when I use onyx

Onyx is associated with the planets Mars and Saturn and the element Earth. Onyx is a good grounding stone and can be held during meditations.

Some of the magical uses of onyx are: addiction, attention, confidence, emotions, energy, focus, grief, grounding, habits or recovery, recuperation, saturn, strength, and stress.

If you choose to carry an onyx with you, you can program the stone to emit one of it's properties or to draw in something.

So, you can program onyx to emit confidence when you carry it, this could give you an aire of confidence in places were you are not confident, it could help to boost your confidence when situations get a bit tricky, and it could just give you a general sense of "I've got this" through the day; depending on how you charge it. You could also program the stone to draw out stress from you. This would allow the stone to take in the stress that you are feeling when you hold it, removing it from you and allowing you a sense of peace.

There are many ways a stone can be used to help you. Yes, onyx is linked to Mars and Mars is linked to aggression, however Mars is also linked to communication, strength, potency, love, lust, and courage to name a few things. Saturn is linked to safety, power, success, positive responses to requests, and intellect among other things. You can set the the stone up with a simple charge or ritual to have it aid you in a way that you need.
