Okoro, since you're just starting out, I would suggest reading and research. When (or if) you choose a specific tradition at some point, you will have a better instruction about how it is expected to be done in that tradition.

That said, there are many, many methods of casting a circle. Doing a web search will show you many different ways, and I'd say pick some which seem to resonate with you. That is, if you don't believe in certain spirits or gods, then I'd suggest not practicing a method which calls those spirits or gods. If you believe the primary direction is North rather than East, then use instructions which begin with North, or begin your own with North.
