I've never been a fan of love spells personally because I always think of them to be a bit manipulative in nature. I suppose not all of them are, of course, but they never sit right with me.

I did used to attempt a dreamwalking spell quite often when I was younger though. It's actually posted on this site still, I think. The idea was simply that I would be able to visit a certain boy's dreams and hang out with him there, but as I worked on it, I realized that I needed to relate to him much better in order to even achieve this. In short, the spell turned out to actually help me do so. Whether it was because I had to attempt seeing through his eyes clearly enough to understand him more than I had before, or if it built such a connection magically, or perhaps a combination of the two, we did develop a much better friendship afterward.

I guess it isn't really a "love" spell so to speak, but I thought I'd share. There are a million different forms of love, after all.
