I've always been interested in the idea of predictive astrology (determining howastrological movements, retrogrades, etc will affect me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually) and using astrology to inform my magical workings.
However I've found it a hard topic to find information on. Most astrological info out there is focused on the natal chart; for example, if I know the Sun is going to square Mars, trying to look up what that might mean only gives me what it means to have your Sun squaring Mars in your natal chart.
I'd love any tips and resources people may have to point me in the right direction!
I have cast magical workings in conjunction with the alignments of the closest of our planets (the visible ones) and theircorrespondences in regards tospiritual alchemy. It involvesthe progression of these celestial bodies and the transformation process through which the burning away of lead occurs and then thecreation of gold is forged in the spiritual alchemy practice. I have also cast in conjunction with other planetary alignments using them to fuel a spell or other magical activity. I have picked up a lot of info through reading other material that is closely related astrology such as almanacs and other record keeping.
This is a blind shot in the dark, but I think that one way to work out a predictive chart would be to start by calculating a chart for the day in question.
After all, a chart is in essence a calculation of the energetic influences that will be present on that day, regardless of if you are being born or not. It is just that if you happen to be also born at that time those energies leave an imprint on you that you then continue to carry.
The next step would be to apply that predictive/future calculation to your actual birth chart and see how the two interact.
If your birth chart influences you to be talkative and outgoing, but the chart of the day is an influence of contemplation and reflection, then it might signify you will feel more chill than usual. Or it might be a signal you should be careful to think ahead before you follow an impulse to speak. Likewise if your birth chart reveals you to be a bit fiery in temperament, and on a future day the planets chart out as highly emotional, then you might be at risk for some conflict or vulnerable to unpredictable moods.
Basically, build a 'birth chart' for the time you want to examine, then contrast it with your own to see what might get opposed, enhanced, suppressed, or just kind of run tangentially.
The idea is probably more time-consuming/complicated than it needs to be, but it is the best idea that comes to mind. Hope it helps anyways!
Specifically predictive astrology is a branch of astrology all its own with a few categories. One of these categories is horary astrology, another of these categories is economical or political astrology. These are base categories which fall under the branch of astrology called predictive.
I am not certain here if you are looking specifically for information regarding predictive astrology and its categories or if you are looking for transit astrology information. You say you want something in depth that speaks to how astrological aspects and such will affect you, but state you find too much on the natal.
Looking at your transits includes planets where they are today and how they relate to your natal so natal astrology plays a part but it is a chart study that tends to reflect our emotions and behavior today.
Predictive astrology is actually less personal, depending on the category. It can include personal questions if one is using the horary beach as asking a question and drawing a chart is what is involved.
Both are on the pricey side I know, but they do appear to go into these studies in depth if you are interested in learning more from astrology than natal only.
