Seeing that you created and posted a vampire spell on this forum one or two days ago , you have not much right to whine about this for long as you were one of those people only a few hours back :P
Well , those that are like that are the minority on the site. Majority of the people here have at least a certain degree of experience and know what can and cannot be done. And even among those that believe in such , majority are usually newbies who haven't learnt anything and will , if with proper guidance , get out of that state of mind .
I think they are real on some level, The stories themselves would have been written loosely on true events. Most people would say witches are something of fantasy and fiction, yet here we are.
therianthropy- slipping into an animals mindset and feeling a spiritual tie with that animal. Its usually explained as a case of lycanthropy by scientist.

Well I beg to differ with Tombstone, vampires af many types have been seen and recorded in myths and legends, however the truth about them has been warped over the centuries by popular fiction, like books, movies, Tv, etc. What I have learned is that all the old legends and myths hold a kernal of truth, what they may have encountered may not be a vampire by our current standards, but would have been to theirs

All myths, including fairy tales, are based on some truth. When all pagan beliefs were considered evil and punishable by the church, their writings were destroyed. The horrible murder of Hypatia and destruction of the vast library at Alexandria led the people to keep their beliefs secret and passed them down orally. They used fairy tales and myths to keep the knowledge of the gods alive through the generations.

I believe in mythical creatures. I feed the fairies, speak with the Ents, and pray to spirits. Fairy tales were the first stories I was told by my parents and other elders within my life at the time. I have found that they give me a base to explore the world with different eyes. I knew what parts of these tales were embellishment and witch parts were so close to the truth. But then again I also believe that Maleficent would have never did what she did if she had just been invited to the party like everyone else in the kingdom was.
