It is history.. and as historians say.. "those who do not know history are doom to repeat it." So, I do not believe this was post as to show a point about Christians but to give info about the past.
this relly dont surprise me. the cathlic church does stuff like that all the time, im almost willing that if the church had a high enough power(not meaning craft but like followers)they would destory rap or something since lord knows it take the lords name in vain. the church popularity is quit what it use to be. as for tearing down pagan shirnes every culture in sometime has down that. same place of worshop different name and way of it. they transfer it to whatever their preachen for examples halos are used to represent those who are holy acording to the "bibble"and if u go back some time in history u would notice the ancient egyptians use a halo shape to warshop the sun.
Something to keep in mind is that some Christians were "corrupt" for lack of a better word. They either didn't understand Christianity (I don't think the people who committed the crimes were only that) or they took it to far (definitely fitting description for the people who partook in the crimes listed).
Everyone, of course, knows about Adolf Hitler and his attempt to create the "perfect" race by destroying jews and anyone who did not have blond hair and blue eyes. In his crazy opinion he was doing what was best for the world, but instead he caused needless bloodshed. He could be an example of someone who tried to do what he thought was right, even if he was insane, and was only successful in killing thousands of people. There are, sadly, Christians who do the same thing in some ways even if they don't really kill. And then there are some who I would consider psychotic that would be the kind to go on an anti-non-christian killing spree, but please keep in mind that not all Christians are like that. Just like not all Jews are like Adolf Hitler.
An example of a Christian that isn't going to go on a killing spree is posting a response right now. I would never harm anyone based on religion, race, language, etc. I only wish to learn about their beliefs, why they have those beliefs, where the belief came from. I don't want their brains on a platter, I just want their knowledge in my head. :)
So please, again I ask because their seem to be so many anti-Christians already, please don't base what you've read as a description of Christians in general or as a description of the majority. Every religion has it's fanatics, every race has it's racists, but Christianity seems to be called on this the most because the fanatics and/or racists double as hypocrites.
Last of all; it says somewhere in the bible that we should help people find the lord. What most people lose sight of or forget about is that it also says we should not force those people into Christianity. Just like being gay, lesbian, suicidal, etc. it should be a life choice that we make on our own and if anyone wants to learn more they should be able to ask a Christian for an explanation and receive only what they asked for.
Chances are if it was a group of people that committed the crime, they had some fanatic leader that twisted the words of the bible to make it sound like what they were doing was a holy act justified by God. The truth is that it was not and that those people who murdered or tortured were criminals.
First of all , an official warning that some may find this insulting, so just easier on the strong words plz.
Second of all, do not belive everything you read.
And finaly Christians arent proud on their past ( this is btw not my personal wiew cuz I'm ortodox and things listed were done by catolichs ), but Satanists have by fare much more to be ashamed of. It's uncomparable.
Simply read about satannistic rituals , it will turn your guts out. One Satanistic churc in north USA somwhere ( I cant remember but I'll post it as soon as I find the data again ) in 197some was caught by police , eating a live 3year old child, and their "premisses" were stained with blood of many more.
And that is yust a one simple very-day example.
Now As I alwys say THERE ARE SATANISTS AND SATANISTS ; ASWELL AS CHRISTIANS AND CHRISTIANS, It's a verry thin line between good and evil , and YOU ARE HYPOCRIT with no moral or virtues , vane and stupi , If you claim you havent crossed that line.

Same way True Christians dislike , fanatics who use God as excuse for "purging this filthy world" , but they are also verry sadly part of Christian religion.
