Unfortunately you won't find any immortals here and if anyone is truly immortal they'd probably be keeping it to themselves. I think anyone smart enough or at least worthy of somehow becoming immortal would also be intelligent enough to realize that nobody here, at least nobody with experience and knowledge on these topics, would believe them.
So, for all the humans regardless of whether or not they will admit their frailty, death is a part of life.
I didn't have a pulse for about 5 minutes. I crashed on a dirt bike and hit my head pretty hard. My friends did CPR and mouth to mouth on me for about that long. Death is like these people say it is, you feel like your being pulled or ripped from your body, you can feel sad. I am not an expert on this subject, nor am I trying to pretend to be. Florrie: "Prove It Sir." Note that this is a challenge, she is challenging me to prove my claim to be a fact unless I misunderstood and she meant that for someone else.
I counter your challenge with a challenge; I say prove me wrong." And here I am telling her instead to prove me wrong rather then wait for me to prove myself correct. There are two reasons for this; one is that I don't have the time to go through killing everyone until I find somebody who can't die and the other is I'd rather not risk the legal retribution that would come from such an act. I don't think many other people would approve of me using such a tactic to prove my point anyways.
On a second thought about proving my point, let's focus on what an immortal is.
An immortal would not grow old, not feel pain, and not get hurt.
However, could an immortal still live in outer space with no air, no water, and no food? If not, then when this Earth finally comes to an end so too will the immortal thus ending his/her life and making death a part of it. If the immortal can live in space without any mortal needs, could the immortal live in a star? If not, then the immortal's life would end when his/her body was taken in by the sun or any other star thus making death a part of his/her life.
All things come to an end eventually, even things not affected by time.
Back onto what an immortal is; if the immortal can feel pain and get hurt then the immortal must be capable of being killed. Pain is the body's way of letting the brain know something is wrong. If something is wrong with the immortal's body that means the immortal is not invincible and thus is perfectly capable of being killed.
I can see that statement supporting my stance more then the opposing. Anything is possible; if it is possible for an immortal to exist then it is also possible for the immortal to die. As you said, anything is possible.
All i did was make a stalemate. It just proves both my argument and yours as well as disproving both arguments. I never said I actually believed whether or not there is immortals i just don't like anyone having only one side. And your argument is based off the assumption immortals can feel pain.
