Faery Houses.

@ vanityfire: If you knew a thing about FINAL FANTASY, you would know that my avatar is a chibi of Ultimecia, and according to her info., she's a life sized witch.

Second, I have the right to put ANYTHING as my avatar anyway, it has nothing to do with belief.

Third, I'm not saying faeries are not real altogether, but just don't exist in this plane.

Universia is correct that fairys (or faeries) do not exist in the physical plane, however, Universia, the way you decided to point out this fact did come across as rude and disrespectful.

I admit I didn't read the entire first post, I'm having trouble focusing at the moment and when I look at the first post the words blur, but from what I did read there is a very similar concept that my wife and I believe in called "Spirit Houses." It's nothing overly fancy usually, although naturally each house is different. If you feel there is a friendly spirit nearby then placing a small house or house-like structure in or near what appears to be it's favorite spot is a sign of respect and a request that it stays. If there isn't a friendly spirit nearby, then just place a house in a spot you feel would call to a spirit and keep it smudged to repel negative spirits until a friendly spirit moves in.

All that said, a quote from Buddha: "Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

I should point out, in case it's misunderstood, when I say "do not exist in the physical plane" I simply mean that they do not have a physical form. They can appear as visible, even seem to be solid, and perhaps some of them will even manage making an impact on their surroundings as to appear physical, but this is merely your third eye at work. They are as solid as spirits and from what I have seen and heard there are other similarities as well. Regardless of the details, my wife favors fairies and I work with spirits.
