Wicca is a Pagan religion. If you believe that Jesus was the Son of God, then you are Christian. If you do not believe that, then you are a Pagan. You cannot be both Christian and Pagan.
Therefore you cannot really be a Christian/ Wiccan. You may be a Christian who practises magic! But, Christian and Wicca are two opposing religions.
I really don't get why they call it Christian Wicca. If you want to do magic based on Judeo Christian practices. It exist, it's just really old. You could even branch out a bit and look at things from the Cabala. Hermetics is quite broad.
Alright while everyone does there debating I'm just going to say one thing and that do what you feel is right for you. There is no right there is no wrong it comes down to what feels right. Like for me i was Christian but I found being Wicca felt more right to me so 7 years later and I'm happy with my choice. Don't have to read what people debate because everyone has there own position on this subject and they are all right. Still that doesn't mean being Christian, Pagan, Or Christian Wicca is wrong. It comes down to what you feel the most comfortable with.
We must remember that the bible was wriiten 100's of years after his passing, and pope Constantine added and deleted what he deemed detrimental to the new church, in the time before it was the women who were the healers, midwives, and had the medical knowlege of herbs and healing, the early church even used them for that purpose( begrudgingly)but It was pope Constantine who removed all reference of the female in a powerful role. They cast Mary Magdaline as a prostitute to demote her from her place, she was of noble birth from the house of David. So as for myself the bible has many good points but is flawed as it was written way after Christs'passing. The lessons were some how passed down by word of mouth until written down by scribes.
Just my two cents worth, and I see no issue with being a wiccan with catholic/cristian background.
Blessings and pax boviscum.

P.S. It means peace be with you in latin
Funny enough, none of the verses about hating anything, including witchcraft, were in the original Bible. It got REALLY exaggerated by impure people I am Christian, I admit it, but I follow the old way. The way of love. (Preaching it and acting with it unlike some of my people)
At its base all any religion is is connection of the personal self with a higher divine being or level. Also the so called implantation of moral traditions and beliefs seen as right in the overall society of the day. As pertains to the statement the Bible got messed up I believe this is incorrect. Modern versions of the Bible are if my understanding is correct taken from the Dead Sea Scrolls which are the oldest dated biblical text written that we have found and contain parts of every book of the Bible except the book of Ruth. So it is more our interpretation is messed up not the words. Logically I don't think an intelligent God is going to allow foolish man to mess up such important info. Now churches who have their own versions of the Bible written by them who's names I will not mention, that is a different story all together.
Religion is not set in stone, its what you believe, how you practice it, and what you believe in your heart is true.
If you can sort it out for yourself, you can be a Christian Wiccan. Its not impossible. If that were the case, The pagans who believe in multiple sets of gods raining from Egyptian to the Greek would have to stop, right? Just go with what your gut feeling tells you to.
the word witchcraft translated from the old text from which the bible was formed was a miss translation the word translated was pharmaciah that means the abuse of drugs not speaking of actual magic and as far as a Christian Wiccan goes I agree that saying that is wrong you cant have a Christian Wiccan that is two totally different religions now you could say your a Christian witch wizard or magi that would be more correct saying Christian Wiccan just steps on too many peoples toes trying to fit in between two very controversial topics I take pride in calling my self a Trinitarian wizard or magi and have many close friends that are of pagan faiths one of the biggest problems so called Christians today have is they forget they are not here to judge others but they sure love to do it so a word to those that have been persecuted by Christians those people are not true Christians if they were going out of their way to judge you they were not Christian just like there are fails fluffy Wiccan there are small minded bigoted blind fanatics who listen to half of what they are told and say they are Christians a true Christian wont ever be rood or abusive to you in any way the others who will are just small minded people lost in a world that they refuse to even try to see. also when Christ came back and walked the earth teaching he gave us a new covenant and replaced the old commandments with one known to many as the golden rule to some, it is judge not and treat others as you wish to be treated other than that you have to belie what he said and that he was sent by heaven. that is all it takes to get into heaven the old 10 commandants were not made for man to follow they were made to show man why and how they fall short so they could understand why they did not disserve to go to heaven. if you follow the golden rule and belie it then you wont be breaking any of the commandments and can still be a wizard or magi.
This is just my opinion so don't take it personally, but I believe that you are either a Christian or a Wiccan/Pagan, not both. In Christianity witchcraft is evil, so... I would say do some research and pick one or the other. Again this is just my opinion.
Obviously told, I'm a little late to post this, but Neko, the torah and old testament are different in way. The torah contains 400 years worth of info that wasn't included in the old testament, but the torah does contain the old testament, so really Noone was actually wrong, just a point.
