Ladynight made a good point, there are a lot of pseudo elements. While Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Spirit(according to Western Tradition) are the main elements, there are byproducts of these elements.
The elements cannot be controlled. They can be worked with. For example, what people call "Weather magick" That to me is asking the spirits who govern those forces to rain or snow wherever they are, if that makes any sense, yet they're not controlling them.
Elemental Magick is to me working with the spirits of the Elements.
As for Darkness. That is down to each person's personal perception and opinion. Some see it as an Element. Some see it as a concept, some see it as stated above as the negative aspect of something. Thus referring to the theory of Polarity or Yin and Yang.
Well in mythology it seems to always reference in the Beginning there was Darkness and Light came into play later, so I can see where it is considered by some as an Element.
To me darkness is an element. I can feel it flow and eb. Its cold yet comforting. It is wilder than the others with the excepyion of spirit. It is not evil as most tend to think. Just as fire can provide warmth or burn you. I also work with dragons. And on a small scale they will sometimes influence an element. But to bring tain to one area means to take it from another. And that can interfere with natural law. Wich a dragon will not do unless the situation is most dire indeed. Dragons are so super cool! I still want to learn to make friends with fairys though.

One of my girls are that who is from a pure blood vampire. She presently is a resident of the Underworld of Hell itself and acts as one of the Dark Lords in there. Seriously, this sounds like role-playing to me and I think it will to others. But if you truly believe what you are saying, why would we want to help you along with plans to destroy all of us?
Well, as i know lightning isn't an element. and one person basically have four element in their life energy and body. Although like that, everyone has their tendency to particular element. If you wanna master element, u need to know your tendency, but must careful if one of your element isn't balance in your body you will easily get sickness
First of all, I sincerely thank you for simply all of your utmost response in this post of mine. Regardless of what you response may be of course. As to the main topic of the post of mine, what I truly want are "to be one with nature". As all perhaps already aware of, nature are made from all sorts of four main elements. Darkness on the other hand perhaps simply meant as its characteristics of each of the mentioned elements. Therefore, in order for me to completely achieve my aim, I have to learn and master the art of the element. "Controls" perhaps is meant as being one of mind and soul with any of the elements. In which in my case, the element of darkness influenced fire and lightning. I ain't know why but to me, lightning are an element made up of pure bursting energies. And on the other hand, don't bother too much on what organization I am in... Since it is somewhat unrelevent to this thread of mine... I guess....
