Thankyou Esk and it is a pleasure to hear everybody's views. Please if you have a different view share it. It's a shame to derail this thread.

It is my personal opinion, that there is no major power difference between white magic and black magic. Its the intent with which the magic is cast. Both can lift up. Both can destroy. Separate but Equal, differentiated only by their end goals. Its like saying a gun is more powerful than a knife. It all depends on who's holing it. What makes one stronger is the skill of the person who is using the magic.

Darkmoon I like the philosophy behind sigil magick and have found it to be extremely effective. The idea that you can 'hack' into the brain's subconscious turns the concept of visualization on it's head. Chaos magic's extremely individual and can draw influences from many diverse areas including science fiction. Then as you say you get the whacky masks so what's not to love? I identify as an elclectic pagan because I don't agree with all the practices of chaos magick however I find the subject fascinating.
