i also experience that sleep paralysis.
it is like, your mind is awake and your shock that something is not going alright. you can not move, shout or whatever.
thats why it is frightening

i agree, maybe it was astral proj probs.
like your life form have traveled somewhere or still you are in in subconscious state but the brain is already on its reality/rational state.
that is why it is shocking, something is left behind.

I experience something like this.
I feel like my soul is going up, leaving my body
and I force myself to 'shake it off'
I hate it and want to stop it but I don't know how
I've been to doctor
nothing is wrong with me
I don't drink, smoke, take drugs, eat meat, stay up to late
It's making me insane.
It's happening EVERY NIGHT.
:'(
help?

When i had my series of SPs i was in a some what dream which felt like reality so i am not sure if it was a dream or astral projecting. But then i'd suddenly SP and then i would suddenly black out and i got quite scared by it because i was only quite young at the time i started to get these and i didn't know what was happening if this happened now i would not be scared at all and i'd just lay there and relax myself.
If anyone has any information on this please share.

I've had sleep paralysis since I was around 3-4? I'm 23 now and I've noticed that the girls in my family are the only ones that have it. My brother told my sister, which told me that when it happens, it means a ghost is sitting on you. Of course, it's just one of those funny things to say, but I've also heard different things from other people, like it is a chemical imbalance in the body. And of course, people on here and my friends tell me it is a form of astral projection. I remember someone else on here posted something similar to sleep paralysis. I told 'em what I did, to embrace it, and instead of feeling pain, try to switch it around. The first time I did that, it didn't hurt me too much. I remember feeling like there were fireworks around me. It still catches me off guard most of the time though and I end up forgetting to do it...

I buy the scientific view. Through some basic steps

  • getting enough sleep
  • reduce stress
  • exercise regularly (but not too close to bedtime)
  • keep a regular sleep schedule

People have stopped gettting sleep paralysis. Can you imagine a demon scared off by proper exercise? Also narcolepsy medication seems to get rid of it. Demons, witches, and other phenomenon don't get treated under the counter
