calling upon Lucifer is a part of enochian ceremonial magic I believe. If not him then some kind of goetian demon. There is so much info out there on that.
The greater key of Solomon and lesser key of Solomon may be starting points. But I know there are some books that have a more modern interpretation of it that may be a bit less complicated.
in any case be sure you learn to protect yourself first.
I think you could find some useful info to start out at evocationmagic.com
Lucifer is not Satan. That is a latter-day misinterpretation. Lucifer is the morning star- the planet Venus, which rises in the sky and then falls, and is called 'the light-bringer'. The planet Venus and it's path in the sky have been personified into myth, with Venus being considered a deity (Attar / Ashtar / Ishtar / Astarte) by the ancient semitic pagans.
If you are speaking of the adversary. It does not matter much what you call him. Lucifer, Satan, Joe for all he cares. So long as you acknowledge and work with that adversarial energy or being.
Being a satanist, as myself, would develop into contact with father satan (if you are quite dedicated as I, for I am a sworn satanist)
As in, doing the meditations, actually trying to accelerate into godhead, etc.
I call out to father only when needed. Like for if I need more guidance to advance further. It is absolutely *not* impossible to contact father. But it may very well be if you are not among his dedicated children as I.
He does not care for whom is not a follower. So more than quite possibly would it be impossible for an outsider to contact him.
Lucifer is the Bringer of Light, it is not the same as Satan, it is indeed closer to Lucifuge, the Fading Light
He is the same archtype (in psychological terms of course, not spiritual ones) as Prometheus.
You can find his sigil in many grimoires, and, after preparing the magical space and doing an invocation, you can try meditating with the sigil in order to try to contact the Luciferian energy.
It really depends on which side of Lucifer you want to make contact, as the Bringer of Light, as the Fallen Angel, etc...it all really depends
First off,.don't listen to what anyone coming from a christian perspective has to say.
Second, if you plan to do a full on evocation of lucifer, I would suggest you first practice on lesser demons. Modern Demonolatry by S. Connoly is a very informative book to start from and you can find a free pdf. online.
Another useful one toy can find for free online is The Luciferian Goetia by Michael Ford.
Lucifer is a Christian concept. Anton LaVey even discussed it in the Satanic Bible that making pacts with Lucifer and Satan was a Christian idea spread around to make the Christian laypeople fearful.
That is yet another example of Anton LaVey knowing very little about the subject he is talking about. For one, Lucifer is a Jewish concept, not a Christian one. The King James Bible tranlated the word, perhaps erroneously, from the Hebrew in to latinised form. If it came from the new testament, it would have been in Greek.
One more thing, many of the medieval grimoires featured systems of making pacts with so-called demons, such as Lucifuge rofocale-- these systems were most likely created by Christian magicians, however, it was not to scare people, it was a system of magic.
For an overview of this and for a brief look at the history of pact making- which is surprising, gruesome, weird, and oddly enough involves many ordained priests. I recommend "Pacts with the Devil" by Christopher Hyatt and Jason Black.
I am not picking on LaVey solely for this, his shoddy translations of the Enochian keys also rub me up the wrong way!
Second, you can grow spiritually without Him.Is true demons will help you at your beginning but you can do it by yourself, you can grow in power yourself.
Lucifer will help you but you can't depend only on Him,do it yourself. The goal is to become more powerful.
Is not so hard to contact Lucifer,an evocation ritual can work.
