I currently own rose quartz, amethyst, fluorite, septarian, golden healer quartz, ryolite lava glass, hematite.... I have a small ammonite fossil somewhere as well as possible copolite.... jasper...it really isn't all that much. I've spoken to spiritualists whom spend quite a bit on many a fancy stone.
Many of these were gifts, many I've spent small amounts on from a couple local thrift shops. Some I've purchased from ebay. One I've bought from a stone shop locally.
I used to go panning for gold with my father and sometimes we'd pay people who owned mines to search their land for stones. I remember finding aquamarine, green tourmaline, and garnet.
I can't say I have a favorite exactly. Some of my favorites are my hematite, amethyst, and garnet though I don't currently own any garnet. Maybe some day.

Selenite has a large presence in my life as it is a wonderful healing stone for physical ailments as well as mental, emotional, and spiritual issues. I find it's protective as it helps me decipher the spirits whom vie for my attention and shields me from the suffering and deep emotions of this plane of existence. Moldavite is a tektite formed over 14 million years ago from a meteorite's impact with Earth and it often causes people to feel heat and/or energy and it can enhances the powers of other stones.
Aragonite Star Clusters are wonderful for releasing negative energies and emotions as they radiate energy outward in all directions just like the crystal rods are pointing outwards from these specimens. Their vibrations help to ground as well as heal the body including unblocking the chakras. It is believed that the aragonite star cluster aids one in the transformation of themselves into a human star that emulates love and light. Aragonite in general may help one release past trauma and heal from anger, worry, stress, or other negative emotions. The clusters also help encourage conservation of Earth's precious resources.
