I guess before I go on to a rant about the pros and cons of Marijuana I could simply ask you if you have done it before.

It is said that Marijuana can help with mediation, relaxation and astral projection, even making people see monster and get scared. But I would not think its an item you truly need for Witchcraft.

Marijuana does pay a factor in witchcraft, if you use it that way. Only certain strains of Marijuana had been reported as helpful in witchcraft. Witches who use Marijuana (I know a famous youtuber that does it) typically bless the Marijuana at their altar, this can be done many ways. It really just depends what you work most with, if you work most with elements then invoke the elements, if you work mostly with moon magick you can bless it in a similar way that you bless moon water. You can also enchant it to help you scry, give you a vision, help you lucid dream, assist in Astral projection.
Any of the purple stains are best for this as they promote hallucinations and sleep.
Marijuana is like a car, you can drive it around in circles and crash or let it take you places you didn't know existed.
Also note it is physically impossible to overdose on marijuana, and only 1/10 people feel feelings of anxiety. If you are in a peaceful setting and are meditating, you shouldn't feel anxiety. Just don't want a horror movie alone, that's something that would cause paranoia.
I do not promote illegal use of Marijuana for any purposes, this post is for wiccans who live in a place where Marijuana is legal and they are of age. Currently in the United states Marijuana is legal for recreational use in Washington and colorado. It is also legal for medical purposes in other states but you have to have your doctor recommend it and have a license. I have done research on this because one day soon Marijuana will be legal in the us, and it has an interesting history in witchcraft.

I'm new so I wouldn't want to overstep my bounds. ritualistically though I doubt its used much, as a topical wound analgesic however it is an extremely underrated practice that has been used for millennia. But there are several chemical reasons why that is. So i don't know if you'd count it as witchcraft but it's definitely in the realms of herbalism.

As stated before, marijuana alters your perception of reality. At the very least, it can help you enter trances, however, it possibly also serves a purpose as an entheogen, depending on how you use it.

Any kind of intoxication and drug usage automatically shifts the Assemblage Point, and contact with the spirit of the plant may make it your benefactor, much like how Indian shamans use peyote and Devil's Weed. Compared to Mescalito, though, Marijuana is not incredibly potent, and I don't think it has that much to offer.

However, if it makes your Assemblage Point more fluid, it might enable you to shift it more easily, and crazy things can happen with sufficient shifts in the Assemblage Point.

So I say, treat it like any other herb, get to know it, research it, and see what comes up.
