i actually agree with stoney. i prefer to do it outside. near water if possible. tho when it comes to summoning i usual try to get my environment to look like its natural area.

I do it outside most of the times... And in the summer I go in the beach late at night when noone's there... You know because all the elements are stronger outdoors especially on the beach...

Thanks everyone, I had a fear of the dark as a child and sometimes in adult life also, I was afraid of things I saw and it has since went away with much work and faith and protection. I love the out doors also and was just curious to see where the most common place would be.:)

I have permament altar set up in my room ,which i set up according what i need to do .For people living in my country it is almost impossible performing outrdoors it is all too cold or rains .Also since i live in big city i just can not go to the local park to set up there my altar .And non the less since i share my house i can not leave the alter in dining room let say .I do not like folks touching my magical tools or in that order anything on it .But if i had opportunity i would perform outdoors ,i second that magic done within nature is far more stronger ,because we and nature are one .

Thanks for your input. I have a great yard and garage I would like to utilize now that I have moved. I am just worried or what the neighbors may think if they caught wind or saw anything. I am a private person and feel the need to protect my faith and lifestyle. I have an altar in my kitchen overlooking my backyard with a lot of windows and it almost feels as if I am outside. It is very quiet and peaceful. I still have a few issues doing things in the dark because of bad experiences before. How do you get over the fear of making a mistake and opening a bad door?? I am very careful, but I am still imperfect so it does worry me from time to time. There are times I feel watchers, what does that mean? Has anyone else felt this way? There are times when I am completely peaceful and secure and certain times when I get bad vibes about doing anything..

I have never done anything in rain--what makes the difference to you?

Depending on HOW it's raining, i usually view it as cleansing, associate the smell of coming rain with purifying, and love to be out it in.

I have a permanant alter set up in my bedroom. my back yard is pretty private but am usually inside. like the outside sometimes.

I shall try this the next time it rains---it does sound very cleasing---and it makes sense..
