An interesting theory I must say. In fact, studies have shown that people with multiple personalities, when they switch, not only change "minds" but also physical conditions. There are documented accounts of people who are sick or in pain and, when they change personalities, are completely fine (one man's eye actually changed from being swollen to normal size in seconds). In theory, a second personality could manifest as a thoughtform, but there is one hole in your theory. Thoughtforms, depending on mass, (I know very little about them so correct me if I'm wrong) consume energy from their creator. Most people would faint from exhaustion from trying to support a thoughtform for long periods of time. Assuming a thoughtform is permanent (is its own creature) I would guess that such a spell would require a staggering amount of energy, possibly enough to kill you.

Thanks for your input. I was merely suggesting that the thought form could grow on its own over time from feeding off its maker. The probability of that may be slight but in theory our beliefs that gods exist created them ( thought form created from many )I just wanted to rant about some of my ideas lol. I love getting feedback though. Looking at things from others perspectives can be very enlightening :)

Your right lightseer, thoughtforms could apply to deities. I personally think that most the of the pagan deities were based on actual beings (I call them the Elders), but the deities we use in magic, for instance, aren't the deities themselves, but the image of them and what they meant to us that has been imprinted on the collective consciousness (I call these idols). You could call them thoughtforms, but I feel like the traditional definition of thoughtform is a little different as idols have no physical presence, only spiritual.

I like your theory.. but I believe thought forms can support themselves to a certain degree.. Such as there being a problem with the astral garbage people create. And the thought that the many gods are less specifically a thought form of the main is quite interesting indeed.

All of those are true but not everyone has the same occurrence. The "people" could simply be an astral being.

Questions...
1. What made you think of that theory?
2. Do you have basis for them? (ex. books, other theories)
3. Did someone/thing influenced you for that theory? How?

Please don't think I hate your theory, in fact, I'm fascinated with it. just want to clarify things

1. This theory was based on a mixture of things. I used information I learned in my abnormal psychology class, combined it with different peoples perspectives of what a shadow is (including my own), and my own experience with an entity.

2. I based the definitions on what I have learned in the chat, my ex hometown coven, and different information in the forums. I did not get any parts of my theory from a book. It is just my own unique views.

3. It was influenced by the many experiences I have heard since joining this site but I cannot say any specific person influenced it.

I am glad you found it fascinating : )

Does anyone know a spell to get rid of these Entities? I have a friend who has 3 of them, and they want them gone. Is there any way to achieve this?
