it depends what path you are following....the path me and my circle follow is the one element thingy

Look into getting your birth chart done, you can see exactly what elements are there and might help you understand you a little.

I agree we're made up of all the elements but perhaps it's possible to have one or more dominant element. I for example identify as as a fire element because I feel it dominant with in, around and through me.

The "dominant" element is usually that whose traits most closely match up with our own personality traits.

Bright, passionate, warm, burning hot when there is reason and yet growing cold and despondent if there simply isn't the motivation there any more... Any of that ring any bells?
