Its eyes are huge and dark in color, they seem bigger then they should. The head more rounded and the mouth seems bigger as well. I remember the nose being rather small. It had human form just short. The arms maybe a big longer then the average person. I never saw the legs. I think about it now but I have only seen the torso from mid chest and up. The last time I saw it, there was also a spirit in my home. I had seen the spirit a few times. This particular morning I saw this creature looking over the stair rail at me and my daughter. My daughter who was 2 at the time was asking me who the man was standing in the doorway to the kitchen. I knew she was seeing the spirit that I had been seeing. I don't believe I seen either after that day. I made a mistake. I told my daughter that no-one was there. When I knew they were.

I believe You created that something. It looks like some kind of tulpa (or call it poltergeist or servitor, just to your liking). Your own thoughts taking form, nothing more, nothing less. But that is just my opinion.

It sounds like a brownie to me. They like offerings of honey and milk, cakes, chocolate, or even pancakes with syrup. They're generally considered earth dwelling (hills/caves/mounds/etc) nature spirits that love living in houses. In folklore many people enjoyed the company of their home's brownie. They are timid and tend to hide in corners, dark closets, or behind furniture and the like. In my opinion they're perfectly harmless. One of the sweetest nature/house spirits you'll come across.

You may find more images in online searches that match your little brown one if you look up "domovoy" in Russian. That's the Slavic version and there are some delightful depictions through Google. Don't call them cute though! They have their pride :D

Thank you for your reply. I do disagree though. I know that it was not something I made up, otherwise why would it go from following me to following my daughter 13 years later. I never told anyone about it. She told me that she was seeing it.

Hello! I have had the same experiences as you. I have seen a short figure running out of sight on a few occasions at my grandmas house. Like you describe, I've only ever seen it out of the corner of my eye, running away at the last moment.

Well after doing some research I have to believe that it was a Brownie as others have pointed out. I only wish I had known then.
