I'm with the last poster
If needed i cast Revenge/Reversal spells
I believe the universe evens things out
Revenge is getting even not causing harm first
Also I am not Wiccan
I would not say I am Wiccan but I do follow the rule of three and the Wiccan Rede. That is what I was first taught. But I also believe in Karma and harm to none. But I also believe in good and evil. But I follow the rule of three because I believe in Karma
I'm Hindu and I believe in threefold law.
Many people claims its sevenfold and some States 10fold, But I believe in threefold as I had my own experience.
What the threefold law was originally intended to mean is that you should do three good deeds for every one you receive. Second generation wiccans (usually not formally initiated)have twisted it into a magical boogeyman to keep young wiccans from causing trouble. Silver Ravenwolf writes about it extensively throughout her books in this way, which is in part why she has lost her credibility in the wiccan community.
"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will" does not mean "Harm none" as some would mislead you to believe. This saying simply means you can do what is harmless. It says nothing about cursing, and in fact a number of devout wiccans do use harmful magic when absolutely necessary, especially to protect themselves and loved ones from danger. Of course, magic that harms none is preferred.
No, the Three-Fold Law was never meant to mean you should do three good deeds for everyone you receive.
Nor does it mean that you will receive three of whatever you send out. For instance, if you curse someone and they break their finger does not mean that three of your fingers would be broken.
Nor is it meant to be a boogey man to scare people into not doing the wrong things; although, there are an awful lot of people who have fallen into this misconception.
What the Three-Fold Law is trying to tell us is that our actions have consequences and that those consequences effect us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For instance, say you go around doing hurtful things to others out of anger....
We know scientifically that being anger all the time has a negative effect on the body and can lead to various illnesses including stomach ulcers, strokes, heart attacks, etc.
Being angry and spiteful all of the time means that we distance ourselves from others and eventually find ourselves alone and friendless. This can lead to depression.
And finally, living in an angry and hateful state can effect you spiritually because it separates you further from the Divine.
There are always consequences to our actions. They may not be immediately apparent, but over time they pile up until they do have an effect on our bodies, our emotions, and our spirits.
Listen to Lark. She's a wise lady and she understands Wicca better than anyone I've ever met.
You need to write a book Lark! There is so much garbage on the web and in literature about Wicca. There needs to be more clear cut information out there like what you share here.
i agree! i would love to read a book written by Lark!
i believe in both, with the threefold law, for many years i was shaky on it. all my Wiccan and Pagan friends who followed it always said 3 things will come to you [a la 3 broken fingers] for a few years i thought that was it, but after a while i wasn't seeing the 3 good/bad karma happening to other people, even the friends who believed in it. so there was a period of about 4 years i didn't believe in it at all. about 2 years ago i heard the mind, body and spirit belief [can't remember if it was in a book or a youtuber i watch said it] and that was the lightbulb moment that really hit me hard. i believe again in the threefold law, but in the mind, body and spirit sense.
the Rede is something i've believed since day one and never really faltered on like the threefold law. granted, every so often i re-evaluate my view and definition of 'harm'.
