I don't really use it for magical purposes, but it's a neat flavor in soups and foods.
Which can encompass things like Kitchen withcraft
Anyway very nice post :) Thanks for taking the time to share with us what you personally use for it!
I honestly don't think much of bay leaves, I wish I'd know a dish where the taste would really shine, but I sort of combine random stuff I find and dinner usually turns out tasty lol.
I like to dip the bay leaves in enchanted water and then let it dry until it turns fragile and crispy. I then grab pinecones cinnimon pumpkin spice and vanilla oil and mix all of that with the bay leaf. It helps keep bad energies away and keep people happy in the winter and fall seasons.

I don't use them, personally, but I've read a bit about them and how they can be incorporated into a magickal practice.
Write wishes or spells on a bay leaf, then burn it.
Can be used for protection to ward off specific things. Crush and sprinkle around the home to ward off negativity and harmful spirits. Carry in wallet to ward off poverty. Place in pantry to protect against bugs. Keep under pillow to protect against nightmares, and so on.
Its oil can be added with massage oil to help relieve muscle aches and pain.

Thank you for sharing Isa. The pain and poverity once espically. Those ones I actually didn't know. I'll have Holy carry one in his wallet from now on lol. I have really bad chronic pain in my left shoulder so I'll see if the oil helps.
Bay leaves can be dried and crushed, then steeped in a warm bath to help aid psychic powers or for protection. I have heard of people writing a wish on them then burning or burying them, though I have not tried that yet. It's easy to incorporate into cooking for magick purposes too! I always get a sense of peace when working with bay leaves.
I've not used it for its metaphysical uses ,but surprise I like to cook with it. It's awesome with anything tomato based. Red sauces are yum with it. Italian dressing and bay leaves are good on baked fish or chicken. Marinate the chicken in it and cook with it as a sauce.....
I may get some bayleaf oil to message my husbands shoulders after work. He works in a factory and he comes home sore often.

Bay Leaves
Sun Fire Masculine
Use in potions for visions, clairvoyance and wisdom. Place under your pillow to induce prophetic dreams. Carry to ward off evil, and scatter or burn for exorcism. Add to cleansing teas and baths. Scatter on the floor, and then sweep out for protection. The priestesses at Delphi are said to have chewed bay leaves to induce their visions and prophesies.
