Qualifications?

I stole the idea of having probational officers from the mods. I have now have a forum posting the different ways they can become probational councilors. They achieve 3 of 6 qualifications. I have it simple and easy. They achieve 3, and then present their name to council and are elected by all of us or atleast the ones that participate.

We have Probational Councilors and Full Membership Councilors like the mods do except it's strictly to one coven.

Probational Councilors only have a liscense to give advice and begin teaching ect but they haven't been added to the council list for the coven yet. But then we have Full Membership Councilors that hold the actual power and are added to the coven council list.

I have posted 6 things that can qualify a person to get a Probational Councilmanship Liscence. But the things is, one must achieve 3 of the 6 things inorder to apply for the liscence. The rest of the council (full membered councilors) will then check out their name and what the have achieved and discuss weither or not they are fit for it. I or the Priest may then accept or not accept the one who applied. If they are accepted they are presented a statement infront of the entire coven saying they are a Probational Councilor.

And to become a full councilor and to be put on the list, one muct either take a test given in coven chatter by atleast a few councilors at the same time and pass. Or, me or the priest thinks they qualify for different resons than pure knowledge.

I admit to not reading the later posts, but in reply to the very first post;

I disagree with that kind of grading system for several reasons. Instead of listing them I'll just give my counter-proposal and hope nobody else mentioned this already. :)

In my Coven I have a "Quiz for your Knowledge" thread. Basically the point is to find out what the individual already knows and what they do not know instead of giving them a title based on their capabilities. By doing that you can figure out what the person needs to be taught or where the person should be sent(by that I mean which Coven to go to) so that he/she can learn what they need to learn. At the end of the quiz there's also a "What would you like to learn here" question to help me decide what lesson should be posted next.

That sounds to be an excelent suggestion.

And if someone could take the time I bet they could make an attachment or button thingy to click on and go to a link holding an actual quiz. Whileas at the end, there is a box to be writen in for what they want to learn. And another attachment or button thingy to post it on a specific forum. I like that idea. But unfrotunatle I don't particularly know how to make attached links and I've already pretty settled in the new grading system.

Oh well. That's life. LoL

Bah. Worse things have happened. :) One method doesn't work for everyone anyways. Perhaps the quiz thing can be added in the future.
